Street Team
Assist on-air staff with set-up and tear-down of equipment at remote broadcasts, capturing testimonies and listener sweepers with handheld recorder for later use on air, greeting listeners, taking cell phone photos/video, handing out promotional material – bumper stickers, etc. Speaking with talent on-air if comfortable, appropriate, and invited by talent.
Concert Setup/Load In/Promotion
On occasion, we are in need of volunteers to help with concert promotions, setting up and tearing down of equipment and handing out flyers to businesses. We try to compensate these volunteers with a concert ticket.
Phone Banks
We are always in need of volunteers to help man the phones and take pledges during the two sharathons (fundraiser) that is held twice a year. Our biggest sharathon is in March/April and the other one is in October. We ask for volunteers to work a 4 hour shift and we do provide meals and drinks during this time.
Public Relations
Setting-up and manning booths at community events to represent and promote the ministry of KGNZ Radio in the public realm.
Maintenance
We always could use volunteer help with light cleaning, straightening, and arranging around the station during business hours.
